The Dilettante

Topics for Consideration

Here are some of the questions I would like to explore:

1.Why does there seem to be two types of people: those who are willing to harm another (physically, financially, or emotionally) and those who would never do so intentionally?
2. Where are the aliens?
3. Why are people resistant to change even when it's clearly in their interest?
4. What will happen when the world's population starts to decrease?
5. Why is it that simple, longstanding features of computer systems so often fail (I'm looking at you, Mr. Printer)?
6. In a world where the vast majority of us will have no lasting impact on society, how should we live our lives?
7. How much money is enough? How much is "more that I ever dreamed of"?
8. What comes after capitalism?
9. Would it be so bad if humanity ceased to exist?

That should be enough to get started. In fact, it's probably enough to occupy me for the rest of my corporeal life. But I'll likely think of some other questions to add to the list.

Suggestions for other interesting topics are welcome:
